Deconstructed Pot Pie

There is something very comforting about a Pot Pie.

Tastey morsels of what ever in a savory sauce and topped with the ever so satisfying layer of puff pastry!

But really?

Who has the time for all that?

The Chef whipped up the “quicky” version of a respectable pie, minus the pot!

Here’s what he did.

He took some of his left over beef stew  ( or feel free to use the stew and recipe of your choice) and heat it up.   Then he rolled out a couple of sheets of store bought puff pastry and cut it into attractive triangles, brushed it with a little egg wash and sprinkled with a little sea salt and bunged it in the oven.

When all was ready, he stacked it up like this!
