Salad

It’s important and desirable to eat something “alive” with every meal or snack.

When I say alive, I mean an uncooked plant product of some kind.

If not a full on salad, then at least a carrot stick or two, a sprinkle of chopped parsley or green onion, or even a good squeeze of lemon juice.

Parsley

This is because uncooked plants have loads of digestive enzymes and so when eaten with other food it helps your stomach with breaking down quicker and easier which results in better absorption of the nutrients.  So everybody wins!

And anything we can do to make life easier for our digestive system is a good good thing.

So eat something alive!  Your bowels will thank you!!
